today, i've had several moments when something funny would pop up in my head and cause me to not be able to contain my laughter or hide my grin (y'know, when you try really hard not to laugh, it just turns into a big smile).

1) not too long ago, chris and i went on a post-sunday-service date to bahama breeze. we were just enjoying our food, when our friendly waitress came up to our table and instead of saying something normal, like, "is everything okay?" or "how is everything?" she said,

"hi, is everything tasteful?"

2) a few days ago, when we asked our client for some good dinner suggestions (here in chicago), he was nice enough to name some of his favorites. then that night when wendy, my co-worker and i were trying to figure out where to go for dinner, she said, "what about that place called biatchy's?"

thinking i may have heard wrong, i asked, "what did you say?"

"biatchy's? y'know, that italian restaurant gary said was good?"

i burst out laughing, and we both had a nice laugh. the next day, our client wanted to take us out for lunch and suggested BIAGGI'S. we both looked at each other like, ohhhhh, and smiled. in the middle of our lunch at BIAGGI'S, i poked wendy and whispered how funny i thought it was that we misheard him. she laughed out loud and proceeded to tell the whole table the joke (our table included our senior manager and the controller and accounting manager of the client). after she told the joke, the look they had on their faces was priceless. they just stared at her in silence like "oh." and didn't know how to respond. i thought, "uh-oh, what will she say next?" and considered even helping her out of it.

wendy's smooth recovery of the situation?

"y'know, like biatch!"

maybe it's one of those things that you have to witness to see the humor in it, but i almost fell out of my chair.

i was determined.

and i was doing so well. going to the gym (pretty) regularly and (trying to) eat healthy (with a few rewards here and there). it wasn't easy, but i was doing it.

but this is when having a pregnant sister does't help. thanks to her, i just had 2 slices of papa johns pizza and like 5 legs of dried o-jing-uh on top of the dinner i had earlier and the o-deng gook i had with chris.

this must not continue.

*sigh*

what can i say. how can i blame the one who is to give birth to my precious niece/nephew!!

as the shock of my sister being pregnant (after 2 months of marriage) starts to wear off, i'm getting more and more excited and happy about my soon-to-be-born niece/nephew. i couldn't help myself from shopping for baby clothes today at the mall, and i picked up the cutest little outfit from gymboree.

i can't wait until we find out if it's a girl or a boy.. i found that unisex baby clothes aren't as cute.

actually.. more like, i can't wait for the baby to be BORN.

i'm going to be the best eemo in the whole wide world. =D
