i've only recently realized how much time i spend watching movies. i have numerous hours of reading to do for tomorrow's classes, but allow me to comment on some of the movies i've seen in the last couple weeks:

*****scent of a woman - one of my all-time favorites. it's an excellent movie in various aspects. i'll say no more but for you to see it for yourself.
**head of the state - funny but not enough to keep me interested for the entire movie. looked at the watch several times. predictable ending.
***bringing down the house - very funny and entertaining from beginning to end. happy ending.
****spirited away - loved the background pictures and the music. creative and stirs the imagination.
*****the recruit - had to watch it twice to understand it completely. but keeps you thinking throughout the whole movie and has an unpredictable ending.
****bounce - death of an innocent person caused me to disfavor it initially, but the rest of the movie made up for it. be sure to have a tissue in hand.

so those are my brief reviews.
