today (technically, yesterday) was friday the 13th. let this day never again be known as one that brings bad luck because i got one of the most pleasant and unexpected surprises i could've gotten in the mail!

it truly left me no less than utterly grateful for the perfect sovereignty of our Lord. praise God.

happy valentine's day to everyone! let me just take the time to say, i love our hc senior boys. last year, they got us senior girls roses, but this year, we each got a rose, a cute soft teddy bear, and a balloon! you guys are so sweet.

and also, happy birthday to kyong ae, chris ko (11th), dorothy (13th), and mintai (14th)!!

this is one of the craziest things i've seen. why, i ask.

i mean, he seems like a really nice and humble guy. and he made me laugh so hard i almost cried... but people are taking this WAY too far.

oh Lord, have mercy!

do you ever go to somebody's xanga/blog page just to listen to the background music? i've been noticing that more and more people are now taking advantage of this feature, and i'm really enjoying it. now if i can only figure out how to do this on my page... *sigh*

did you see the news today? it talked about a "preaching pilot" that immediately caught my attention as i reached for the remote to turn off the TV.

what happened was... this american airlines pilot on a flight from LA to NY suddenly got on the intercom, and when everybody expected him to give an update on the weather or something of that sort, he said the following:

"who in here is christian? please raise your hands.... (silence).... look around you. whoever is not raising their hand is crazy. to you christians, use this time wisely and tell these people about your faith."

very bold on his part... but he seems to not have used the best choice of words. passengers panicked, and american airlines had to apologize.

another thing i learned on the news: if you receive a red light ticket in the mail, look at the paper carefully before paying the fine. you have violated the rule only if you passed the light at least 3 seconds after it turned yellow. apparently, there are a lot of people who are wrongly fined for 2.9 seconds.

update on the weather: it's going to be partly cloudy all week. let me emphasize, NO PRECIPITATION EXPECTED. so don't set yourself up for disappointment, and remember to do all your hw. :)

that's enough for today. g'nite!~
