i couldn't believe it.

i stood at the baggage claim watching everybody joyfully take their bags, and one by one they all disappeared until 45 minutes later it was just me and about 3 other people. they all thought it was the gate change in philly that messed up the system, but little did they know it's all based on luck. i just happened to be unlucky twice in a row. i almost bit the head off the lady working at the baggage claim who took half an hour to look up our bags only to realize that she couldn't find them.

it was such a funny dejavu.

hotel guy: 5 nights this time?
me: yes. oh yeah, i'm having a bag delivered tonight. (don't talk to me, just give me the key)
hotel guy: (laughing) talk about luck. again? what are the chances of that?
me: don't get me started.
hotel guy: you fly for free though don't you?
me: i'd rather not be flying at all. (GIVE ME THE KEY)

so my coworker and i have stayed in enough rooms at this hotel to have figured out that even number rooms have bad cell phone reception. go figure, i'm in room 226 this week. shoulda asked for a room change when i checked in. :)

and! i found out that this coworker gets chocolate/coffee ice cream with gummy bears too! i got so excited that there was somebody else who actually knows what tastes good. it's funny, we have so much in common. she also sleeps with a teddy bear she's had since she was 16 and takes it on all client trips. she says her grandma would always ask her if she would take it on her honeymoon. she said she had planned on it, but interestingly enough, forgot and left it behind.

i'm definitely taking mine.
