it's late, but i'm wide awake... so allow me to ramble about my day.
went to the doctor today. i didn't know there was so much risk involved in cosmetic surgery.
... no, i'm not about to spend thousands of dollars to improve my looks. :P
it's been more than 7 months since my car accident, but the marks on my face and neck still haven't completely gone away. from the changes i've seen in them the last few months (or the LACK of changes), i was getting concerned that they will end up being permanent. and believe me, the scars are NOT hard to notice... especially cuz they're on my FACE. people actually ask about them.
my dad also tells me i might never be able to marry with scars like them. :(
after waiting and waiting, my lawyer advised that i go see a plastic surgeon.
the nice and friendly old doctor gave me three options:
1) chemical peel
2) laser surgery
3) some kind of cream that helps lighten skin
chemical peel, he says, only works for white white caucasians (blue-eyes-and-blonde-hair WHITE). for anyone with even a hint of pigmentation will get terrible results. great.
and unfortunatey, laser surgery doesn't always guarantee the best results as the ads portray, and the risk is far greater than most people think. he predicts that if i do decide this, i will probably end up worse off than now. ok, throw that out too.
so now i'm left with a few samples of this cream that he gave me to try. he warned me that i should be cautious because it will lighten the skin regardless of where i apply it. it will even change the color of the finger i use to apply the cream with.
maybe i should try it on my entire face to see if i get lighter.
hehehe... :P

while i was waiting to see the doctor, i saw a cute little girl sitting a few seats away from me. her dad talked to the nurse and got ready to leave when the nurse said, "aww... she is so adorable!"
"thank you," the dad said.
"she must look like her mom."
i had to laugh cuz... the man was... extremely unattractive.
interesting how the most unattractive parents can have the cutest babies.
***********
things i want to do during my short short break:
1) watch the following movies: the last samurai, love actually, elf
2) go skiing - i think i'll be going next week with a group of a few old friends... anyone wanna come?
3) spend some quality time with family and friends
4) get a fun job
5) break a 700 on the GMAT
6) clean the inside of my car
7) give lots of christmas gifts
8) make a snowman
9) finish the book i've been reading for the last 5 months or so
10) get back in shape
also, if anyone would like some prayer, remember that i'm looking for people to pray for this winter break. :) send me an e-mail or call me.
finally, my eyelids are getting heavy. g'nite friends...
